I Can Weight Myself!!! (920 Days Left)

I stepped on the scale this morning while I was waiting for the shower to warm up and my weight registered.  I am officially under the limit for my scale.  The scale maxes out at 455 pounds and it showed 453.6 this morning. Unfortunately, the family was still asleep when I left for work so blogging about it has been the first chance I have had to say anything.  I am not sure how much weight I have lost so far, but I am very excited to finally be able to track my progress now.

This weekend was all about eating well and having fun. I had a few opportunities to eat/drink horribly and I was able to persevere.  Friday night I ended up going out for a couple beers and instead of having my usual 4-5+, I only had 2 and refrained from eating the bar popcorn.  Then on Saturday we spent the morning at a local orchard learning about weather, bugs and underwater irrigation before heading up to our family summer home.  On the drive up, we stopped at Burger King where I just had two side salads and used only one dressing packet.  Sunday was a birthday party with pizza, chips, cake and ice cream.  I had two slices of pizza and a salad and when the cake and ice cream was served, I conveniently went for a motorcycle ride and ended up at a new homebrew supply store and talked to the guy there for an hour or so. So far eating better and staying active has really paid off.

The only regret was that I did not have time to make that batch of beer.  It looks like I am going to have to find some time during the week to get it done. No big deal though.
