So last night I made some guacamole and I sliced up some Jimaca on the mandolin and had a pretty low cal snack while I watched game one of the Stanley Cup Finals. The Jimaca slices were not as good as I expected, but the guacamole was great. I used Ina Garten's recipe from the Food Network website (and no, I did not eat it all).
I realized that over the past couple of days, that the busier I am , the less I think about eating. When I am busy around the house, I can go for a while without thinking about food. The moment I park myself in front of the TV or the computer, I get hungry. So I am going to strive to limit my idle time. No more excess TV, no more hours of surfing the Internet and no more late night gaming. It looks like moderation does not only apply to food when living healthy.
